About ACTU International Section

The ACTU International Section maintains an active involvement with our affiliates and related international union bodies.

The major priorities of the union movement in our region are to:

  • defend trade union rights
  • campaign for employment and international labour standards including child labour
  • engage both Australian and multi-national companies on respecting labour standards
  • promote the growth of trade union membership

 

ACTU International Policy

The ACTU Congress is held every three years. Delegates debate and vote on policies and set the union agenda for a further 3 years.
