Time to celebrate new IR laws
A new era of industrial relations begins on 1 July with greater protections and improved rights for all Australian workers. Workers will have protection from unfair dismissal, a robust safety net of entitlements, rights to collective bargaining and union representation, and the system will be overseen by a strong independent umpire. The new laws mark an historic turning point following the Your Rights at Work campaign led by Australian unions.
